Apply for an Event Permit
You want to organize an event. This could be, for example, a fair, a parade, a party, a festival, a memorial service, or a running race. To do so, you must apply for an event permit. In some cases, it is sufficient to simply notify the authorities of the event.
What You Need to Know
There are two categories of events that require a licence
A-level event: These are events that pose no significant risks. They require little or no involvement from emergency services. Examples include a musical performance in a park or on a plaza, a street fair, a small markt, a neighborhood barbecue, a street party, or a sporting event. A permit for this licence must be applied for at least 8 weeks in advance.
Please include the following documents with your application:
- A floor plan
- A product certificate and/or RAS number when installing playground equipment, an inflatable, or an amusement ride
- Structural data (e.g., for stages) when structures larger than 25 m² are installed
- If a safety plan is required, a licensing authority will contact you regarding this.
B-event: These are events involving greater risks, such as alcohol and drug use or large crowds. This licence must be applied for at least 13 weeks in advance.
Please include the following documents with your application:
- A floor plan
- A product certificate and/or RAS number when installing playground equipment, an inflatable, or an amusement ride
- The structural specifications (for example, for stages or bandstands) when structures larger than 25 m² are erected
- A safety plan.
A template is available on the Hollands Midden Safety Region website at - The script and programme
- The traffic plan or signage plan

Does your event meet these Requirements requirements? If so, please fill out the online form under “Arrange it directly online” at the bottom of this page.
When applying for a permit, please submit your application as complete as possible and as early as possible. This will give the municipality enough time to review everything and work with you to find a solution.
