Change LRK registration details
Would you like to change the details as listed in the National Childcare Register (LRK)? You must report changes to the details of a child care centre, childcare agency, or childcare provider facility to the municipality in advance. Examples include:
- an expansion in the number of childcare places;
- a change of telephone number;
- the cessation of operations.
How does it work?
DE change
- The holder must submit the request for a change 8 weeks before the desired date of the change. The municipality assesses whether an investigation must take place.
- The municipality will decide within eight weeks whether the change can take place and be registered.
- For certain changes (such as a telephone number), no decision is issued. The municipality will inform you once the change has been recorded in the LRK.
- Expanding childcare places at a child care centre? Prior to making the request, please check whether the location complies with other regulations and whether you can provide a valid environmental licence for the fire-safe use of the building.
Inspection
Your change will be verified based on your identification information and your records in the Commercial Register. We Health , therefore, that your entry in the Commercial Register is up to date.
Assessment
If your application is accurate and complete and an investigation is necessary, the Municipal Health Service ( supervisor , GGD) will contact the operator to conduct an investigation. The investigation will assess whether the requested change is reasonably expected to meet the quality requirements set forth in the Child Care Act. Other regulations and/or previous enforcement actions will also be taken into account. Once the report from the “ supervisor ” has been finalized, the municipality will make a decision.
If no investigation is necessary, the municipality will make a decision immediately.
In the event of a positive decision, the change will be registered in the LRK.
Changes to (facilities for) childcare providers
The childcare provider must report changes to the childcare agency. The childcare agency forwards changes regarding childcare to the municipality. Please use the forms on this page for this purpose.
Change of additional intermediary relationship
If the childcare agency enters into a mediation relationship with an already registered childminder at an address that is already registered, you can apply for this using a change form. Please note the following:
- The change must be submitted eight weeks before you intend to mediate between the parent and the childminder. Mediation may not take place until a decision has been issued for this.
- Mediation is registered per location, and not per childminder. If you are going to mediate for all locations, please submit a separate change form for each location. If you are going to mediate for a location that is not yet included in the register, please submit an application for this.
- You cannot submit changes for locations to which you are not linked. Linking and changing other details (such as the number of childcare places) cannot be done simultaneously. Please wait for the decision that you are allowed to mediate, and then request to change the details.
Changing childcare places
For changes to the number of childcare places, the childcare agency must submit a change form. Please note the following:
- The change must be submitted eight weeks in advance. The expansion may only take place after a positive decision has been issued.
- The Municipal Childcare Office ( supervisor ) can conduct an assessment to determine whether the change can be made. This assessment considers not only the available space but also the ability to provide responsible childcare. For example, it evaluates whether it is actually possible to safely take the children outside given their number. You are responsible for determining the number of children (up to 6) that can still be accommodated while maintaining high-quality care.
Termination of mediation relationship
Don’t forget to report the termination of a placement relationship in a timely manner. During the “ supervision ” (Capacity Assessment) at your child care agency, the child care providers registered with your agency will be reviewed. If there are child care providers linked to your agency for whom you are no longer actually performing any work, they may still be included in the assessment of the number of placement staff required and whether you have conducted the mandatory visits.
Other changes
For certain changes (such as a telephone number), the municipality does not issue a decision. The municipality will inform you once the change has been recorded. You can report these changes to the municipality.
Effective date of change
For most changes, a decision is drafted. This is sometimes preceded by an investigation by the Dutch Land Registry ( supervisor). The change is not valid until it has been registered in the LRK.
Update details
The municipality may decide ex officio to amend the data in the register if they do not reflect the actual situation.
