Change LRK Registration Information
Would you like to change the information listed in the National Child Care Registry (LRK)? You must notify the municipality in advance of any changes to the information regarding a child care center, child care agency, or child care provider. These changes may include, for example:
- an increase in the number of spots for children;
- a change in phone number;
- the cessation of operations.
How does it work?
The amendment
- The holder must submit the request for a change 8 weeks before the desired effective date. The municipality will determine whether an investigation is necessary.
- The municipality will decide within eight weeks whether the amendment can be made and registered.
- For some changes (such as a phone number), no decision is issued. The municipality will notify you once the change has been entered into the LRK.
- Expanding the number of child care spots at a child care center? Before submitting your request, verify that the location complies with all other regulations and that you can provide a valid environmental permit for fire-safe use of the building.
Inspection
Your change will be verified based on your identification information and your details in the Commercial Register. Therefore, please ensure that your entry in the Commercial Register is up to date.
Assessment
If your application is accurate and complete and an investigation is necessary, the supervisory authority (GGD) will contact the operator to conduct an investigation. The investigation will assess whether the proposed change is reasonably expected to meet the quality requirements set forth in the Child Care Act. Other regulations and/or previous enforcement actions will also be taken into account. Once the supervisory authority’s report has been finalized, the municipality will make a decision.
If no investigation is necessary, the municipality will make a decision immediately.
If the decision is favorable, the change will be recorded in the LRK.
Changes to (amenities at) child care centers
The child care provider must report any changes to the child care agency. The child care agency will forward any changes regarding child care to the municipality. Please use the forms on this page for this purpose.
Change to an Additional Brokerage Relationship
If the child care agency enters into a placement agreement with a child care provider who is already registered at an address that has already been registered, you can request this using a change form. Please note the following:
- The amendment must be submitted eight weeks before you intend to mediate between the requesting party and the child care provider. Mediation may not take place until a decision has been issued.
- Placements are recorded by location, not by child care provider. If you will be arranging placements for all locations, please submit a separate change form for each location. If you will be arranging placements for a location that is not yet listed in the registry, please submit a request for it.
- You cannot submit changes for locations to which you are not linked. You cannot link a location and change other information (such as the number of child care spots) at the same time. First, wait for the decision authorizing you to act as a mediator, and then request that the information be changed.
Changes to Child Care Spots
To change the number of child care spots, the child care agency must submit a change request form. Please note the following:
- The amendment must be submitted eight weeks in advance. The expansion may not take place until a positive decision has been issued.
- The regulatory authority may conduct an investigation to determine whether the change can be implemented. This assessment considers not only the available space but also the ability to provide responsible child care. For example, it examines whether it is actually possible to safely take the children outside given their number. You are responsible for determining the number of children (up to 6) for which high-quality care can still be provided.
Termination of the Brokerage Relationship
Don’t forget to report the termination of a placement relationship in a timely manner. When your child care agency is inspected, the child care providers registered with you will be reviewed. If there are child care providers linked to your agency for whom you no longer actually perform any work, they may still be included in the assessment of the number of placement staff required and whether you have conducted the mandatory visits.
Other changes
For some changes (such as a phone number), the municipality does not issue a decision. The municipality will notify you once the change has been processed. You must report these changes to the municipality.
Effective Date of the Change
For most changes, a decision is drafted. This is sometimes preceded by an investigation by the regulatory authority. The change is not valid until it has been registered in the LRK.
Edit Information
The municipality may, on its own initiative, decide to amend the information in the registry if it does not reflect the actual situation.
