Certifying a copy or transcript
The municipality can issue a certified copy of certain documents, such as your passport or driving licence. By certifying the copy, the official declares that it is an exact replica of the original.
You may need a certified copy or transcript for:
- formal transactions, such as buying a house
- situations where you do not wish to part with the original document, such as when providing a copy of an identity document
Please note
Copies of diplomas and certificates are not certified by the municipality. For this, please contact the educational institution where you obtained the diploma or certificate. Documents of a religious nature are also not certified by the municipality.
