Lighting a fire
You are not permitted to light a fire in the open air without authorization. If you wish to do so, you must apply for an exemption permit from the municipality, for example, for an Easter fire, a bonfire, or if you are burning wood or green waste.
Please note
You do not need to apply for an exemption if you are using candles, torches, fire pits, or patio heaters, or if you are lighting a fire for cooking, baking, or roasting, such as on a barbecue.
What to do?
You can apply for the exemption from the municipality. Please provide the following information:
- the type of waste being burned
- the location of the fire
- the date, start time, and duration of the fire
How long does it take?
You will receive a notification within 8 weeks regarding whether your exemption has been granted.
File an objection
If you disagree with the municipality's decision, you can submit an objection within 6 weeks.
