Apply for a royal honor well in advance
Do you know a resident of Voorschoten who has been tirelessly and selflessly volunteering or who has achieved something exceptional? If so, you can apply for a royal honor, also known as a “lintje.”
A royal honor is a very honour. It represents a long journey for the person making the nomination and those who support it. Would you like to nominate someone for a royal honor? In Voorschoten, you can contact the Cabinet Affairs Department. A staff member there will be happy to explain the application process and procedure to you.
“Receiving a royal honor is truly something very special,” says Mayor Nadine Stemerdink. “That’s why presenting such an award is one of the most rewarding acts I have the privilege of performing, especially when the recipient isn’t expecting it. So, do you know someone who deserves to be surprised in this way? Don’t hesitate to submit a nomination.”
Submit your application on time
It takes a lot of time to carefully process the application. It is therefore important that you submit it well in advance. Would you like to apply for the April 2025 Honours List? Submit your application by June 1, 2024. Is it for a special occasion, such as an anniversary or a farewell? Submit your application at least six months in advance.
Once you have submitted an application, the municipality will initiate a comprehensive advisory and decision-making procedure on your behalf. The cabinet officer will inform you of the final decision.
