What is it?
To improve traffic safety within built-up areas, there are 30 km/h zones. Speed bumps, road narrowings, and narrow lanes are designed to slow down traffic. These zones are primarily located in residential neighborhoods, shopping streets, schools, and other areas with high volumes of pedestrians, cyclists, and children playing.
Please report any unsafe traffic conditions to the municipality.
In addition to the 30 km/h zones, there are also 60 km/h zones. These zones are also intended to improve traffic safety. 60 km/h zones are always located outside built-up areas but are typically managed by the municipality. In 60 km/h zones, there are also speed bumps, road narrowings, and narrow lanes that slow down traffic.
What should I do?
Report to the municipality that you consider a certain traffic situation to be unsafe. Please provide the following information:
- exact location
- Reason for your report
You may feel that the municipality should designate your street or neighborhood as a 30 km/h zone. If so, submit a request for this together with your neighbors.
How long does it take?
Municipal staff are not always able to respond within a few days. But don't worry—your request will always be processed, and you will always receive a response.
