Starting a sex business

If you want to start a sex business, you should first check with the municipality to see if this is permitted and whether you need a “ licence .” You must also notify the municipality if your sex business is sold or ceases operations.

The owner and any manager(s) must be 21 years of age or older.
The prostitutes working there must be 21 years of age or older.
The sex business fits into the municipality's " environmental plan ."
The sex business complies with the requirements regarding layout, fire safety, and business operations (including hygiene).
The operator and any manager(s) must not be placed under guardianship.
The operator and any manager(s) must not have been relieved of parental authority or guardianship.
The operator and any manager(s) are of impeccable behaviour.

Consult with the municipality in advance. Please provide:

a description of the business
the name and address of the business
the name and contact details of the owner and any manager(s)

What do I need?

A copy of the identity document of the owner and any manager(s).
A payment behaviour declaration regarding compliance with tax obligations from the Tax and Customs Administration.
A rental or purchase contract for the location of the sex business.
Where applicable, a situational sketch and a floor plan of the location.
A business plan.
