Survey Results on Loans for Living at Home Longer
The municipality of Voorschoten conducted a survey to determine whether residents were interested in taking out a loan to continue living at home longer. The loans were provided by the Dutch Municipal Housing Incentive Fund (SVn).
The survey was completed by 82 residents. That response rate is too low to yield a representative result. Furthermore, the loan is a relatively risky product for the municipality. After weighing all factors, the municipal executive decided not to make the redemption loan available.
