Place an Ad

You cannot simply place advertisements on or attached to a building. For example, the advertisement must not endanger traffic. If you wish to install a billboard on a building, you must apply for an environmental permit from the municipality.

This refers to advertising that you place on or attached to a building. Examples include signs, banners, and text or images on walls.

How does it work?

The municipality decides whether you will be granted the permit. It may deny the permit for the following reasons:

  • the advertisement doesn't fit in with its surroundings
  • The advertisement does not fit with the building on which it is displayed
  • The advertisement bothers road users
  • The advertisement is damaging the road
  • The advertisement interferes with road maintenance and management
