Request a Marketplace

If you want to have a stall at the market, you must apply for a market permit from the municipality. This applies to all types of markets:

daily market
weekly market
annual fair (such as a Christmas market)

How does it work?

You can apply for a spot at the market if you:

is registered with the Chamber of Commerce.
are legally competent.

Permanent spot

The waiting time for a permanent position varies by market and by industry. If you are on a waiting list, you must have your spot renewed each year.

Day Pass

Every market day, the market manager assigns daily spots by trade to temporary vendors. Daily spots are permanent spots that become available when a vendor with a permanent spot is absent for a day. The municipality immediately issues the permit that allows you to register as a temporary vendor.

What should I do?

You must apply for the permit from the municipality. In your application, specify which market you want to set up a stall at and what you will be selling.

a valid form of identification
proof that you are insured for general liability while conducting business at the market

Additional Information

A marketplace permit is different from a vendor permit. You need a vendor permit if you want to set up a vendor stand in a public outdoor area—for example, on or along a public road.

The permit is issued to you personally, but it is transferable. If you know a business owner who would like to take over your spot, you can ask the municipality for permission to transfer your permit.
