Clothing, Textiles, and Shoes
You can drop off clothes and shoes you no longer wear in a clothing bin. Damaged clothing, torn fabrics, and textiles can also be placed in the clothing bin.
Put them in a sealed, sturdy bag. This will keep the textiles dry. Wet textiles cannot be reused. Shoes can also be included with the textiles. Tie them together in pairs.
You can also donate your old clothes, textiles, and shoes to a thrift store, give them away to family or friends, or sell them on an online marketplace.
Reuse and Recycling
Donated textiles are reused or recycled into new items. For example, bedding and worn-out clothing are used to make cleaning rags or car seat padding. We’re also seeing recycled textiles being incorporated into new fabrics more and more often.
