Redevelopment of the Intratuin location
Last modified on: 27-02-2025
Developer Synchroon, in collaboration with the municipality of Voorschoten, has designed a new residential housing location for the former Intratuin site. A total of 129 homes have now been built, including 33 social rental apartments. This new residential area is named Het Fortuyn van Voorschoten.
Part of the design is the new access road between Voorschoten and Leiden. This road, the Griffioenlaan, will eventually replace the current 50 km/h access road located on the Leidseweg. The municipality of Leiden is currently reconstructing De Groote Vink. As a result, the new access road will be safely connected to Leiden's territory. In the future, the Leidseweg will be restricted to local traffic and slow traffic (emergency services, pedestrians, (moped) cyclists) for through traffic.
Current Status
All homes have now been completed. The public space still needs to be transferred from the developer to the municipality.
