Causing noise nuisance
If you expect to produce enough noise to cause a disturbance, you require an exemption from the municipality. This applies, for example, to construction work or an event.
What to do?
You can apply for the exemption from the municipality. Please provide the following information with your application:
- what you intend to do that may cause noise disturbance
- date and time when the noise disturbance may occur
- situation sketch
- acoustic report
Think of the neighbors
To minimize the inconvenience to nearby residents, please be sure to do the following:
- You must inform nearby residents in advance of when and why the noise disturbance will occur.
- You should minimize instances of noise pollution as much as possible.
- If there's another way that causes less noise pollution, please do it that way.
