How does it work?

You can receive guidance on your spending. For instance, some municipalities offer a course to help ensure you do not spend more money than you earn.

A professional support worker will examine the cause of your financial problems. The support worker will attempt to make arrangements with you and your creditors regarding the repayment of the debt. Both you and your creditors must adhere to these agreements.

Applying for debt assistance

Submit an application to a support organisation, such as the municipality. The organisation will assess whether you are eligible for debt assistance.   • Do you have questions about financial matters or financial Health? Every Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, residents with financial questions can visit the Voorschoten Library. Volunteers from the Financial Information Point (abbreviation: FIP) will be present to provide information. The FIP operates by appointment. Call 06-27058060 to schedule an appointment or send an email to fipvoorschoten@gmail.com. The assistance provided by the Financial Information Point is free of charge.
