Debt assistance volunteer, first aid for debts and finances

Temporary support by a skilled volunteer. A SchuldHulpMaatje is a reliable local volunteer. He or she will help you free of charge to regain control of your finances. Asking for help early can prevent you from getting into (further) trouble. 

How does it work?

  • Together with you, they will list your income, expenses, and payment arrears, giving you an overview again.
  • Afterwards, you will work together on solutions, if necessary/desired in cooperation with local assistance organizations.
  • If professional debt assistance appears to be necessary, the buddy will put you in touch with the right people. The buddy will continue to support you during and for a while after the process.

In this way, you can eventually manage your financial affairs yourself again and prevent you from getting into trouble again.

What to do?

Every Friday there is a consultation hour in the Library (from 1.30 PM to 2.30 PM), where you can go with all your questions. You can also register as a volunteer here.
