Submit an Application for a Royal Honor

Do you know someone who you think truly deserves a royal honor, or a “ribbon”? A tireless volunteer, or someone who has achieved something exceptional in their work? If so, you can submit a request to the municipality where they live.

How do you submit an application?

Would you like to nominate someone who lives in Voorschoten for a royal honor? If so, please contact the Cabinet Affairs Department by phone. A staff member will explain the procedure and how to submit your nomination. The staff member can be reached at 14071. For more information, click here. 

Once you have submitted your application, the municipality of Voorschoten will begin a comprehensive review and decision-making process on your behalf. The municipality will, of course, notify you of its decision.

Submit your application on time!

Since processing the application takes quite a long time, it is important that you submit it on time. Applications for the so-called 2023 Lintjesregen, which takes place around King’s Day, must be submitted by August 1, 2022.

If the award ceremony is a special event—such as an anniversary or a farewell—you must submit your application no later than five months before that date.
