Seven parties are running in the 2026 municipal elections
In Voorschoten, seven parties are running in the municipal elections. The lists of candidates have also been announced as of today. On Wednesday, March 18, residents can cast their votes for the party and candidate of their choice.
On February 3, the Central Election Board of the municipality of Voorschoten reviewed and approved the candidate lists in a closed session. As of that date, the candidate lists are available for public inspection at the Central Election Board’s office in City Hall. The municipality asks interested parties to make an appointment in advance.
Public Hearing
On February 6 at 5:00 p.m., the Central Election Board will decide on the validity of the candidate lists in a public hearing. This hearing will take place in the council chamber, presided over by the mayor. The lists will also be numbered at that time. The official minutes of this hearing will be available for public inspection until the candidate lists are finalized.
