Youth and Family Center

The municipality must provide assistance, care, and support to young people and their parents who need it—for example, when they face challenges related to growing up or parenting that they cannot resolve on their own.

Do you have a child who needs help, care, or support? Parents can contact the CJG by email at cjg@voorschoten.nl or by phone at 071-5619061 (available every workday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

The Youth and Family Center (Centrum Jeugd en Gezin in Dutch) supports parents and children from 9 months to 23 years of age. Various organizations collaborate within the YFC: youth nurses and the pediatrician from the youth health care system; social workers and school social workers from Kwadraad; youth social workers; staff from the school counseling service; youth consultants from the municipality; and MEE consultants from the MEE Foundation.

Parents, children, and teens can come to the YFC with all kinds of questions about growing up, parenting, and youth services. The YFC is also available to provide support and care. This support is often available free of charge, such as when advice is given or when assistance is provided by social services or the pediatric health clinic (
).

You can find more information on the Youth and Family Center's website at and on their Facebook page.
