Youth and Family Centre

The municipality must provide help, care, and support to young people and their parents who need it, for example, with growing up or parenting problems that they cannot resolve on their own.

Do you have a child for whom you need help, care, or support? Parents can contact the YFC by email: cjg@voorschoten.nl or by phone at: 071-5619061 (available every working day between 9 AM and 5 PM).

The Youth and Family Center (centre , “Jeugd en Gezin” in Dutch) supports parents and children from 9 months to 23 years of age. Various organizations collaborate within the YFC: youth nurses and the pediatrician from youth health care; social workers and school social workers from Kwadraad; youth social workers; staff from the school counseling service; youth consultants from the municipality; and MEE consultants from the MEE Foundation.

Parents, children, and youth can approach the YFC with all kinds of questions regarding growing up, parenting, and youth assistance. The YFC is also available for support and care. This support is often freely accessible, such as when advice is given or with support from social services or the child healthcare clinic
(in Dutch: consultatiebureau).

You can find more information on the website of the Youth and Family Centre and on their Facebook page.
