Housing authorities, tenant organizations, and the municipality sign new performance agreements
Housing authorities, tenant organizations, and the municipality of Voorschoten signed new performance agreements today. By working closely together, each of the parties can achieve its own goals. The performance agreements cover the period from 2025 through 2028. The signing took place at City Hall.

Housing authorities, municipalities, and tenant organizations meet annually to discuss so-called performance agreements. In these agreements, they set out their plans for housing policy in the coming years. This is important because cooperation is necessary to achieve the public housing goals of all parties.
Willing to invest
With regard to new construction, the municipality of Voorschoten is committed to the goals set out in its housing vision. This vision states that by the year 2030, 1,000 new homes must be built, 30 percent of which will be social housing. A significant portion of these targets is already on track through existing plans. Housing associations are also willing to invest. Examples include making mid-priced rental homes available and providing free insulation for existing homes with lower energy ratings.
Better Prospects in the Housing Market
“Thanks to these agreements, residents will have better opportunities in the Voorschoten housing market,” explains Alderman Hans van der Elst. “We’ll be building a significant number of new homes, promoting mobility in the housing market, and making more sustainable, affordable housing available. This will benefit both current and future residents. I’m very pleased with the positive and collaborative atmosphere in which we reached this agreement.”
