Removing a property from the housing stock
As a homeowner, you can withdraw your home from the housing stock. The home is then no longer suitable to be lived in by the same number of people. You can withdraw a home in the following ways:
- You want to use a home for something else, for example as an office.
- You want to merge 2 homes together.
- You want to demolish a home.
- You want to use a home for room rental.
Do you want to change a home in one of these ways and does it concern a home that has a rent below the rent liberalisation threshold? In that case, pursuant to article 21 of the Housing Act, you must apply for a withdrawal licence from the municipality.
