Councilmember Zoetemelk Presents the “School op Seef” Traffic Safety Label to the Nutsschool

On the morning of Wednesday, September 14, Councilman René Zoetemelk presented the Nutsschool with the SCHOOL op SEEF road safety label. In addition to the presentation of the road safety label, attention was also given to the renovated traffic plaza near the preschool and the School Drop-Off Week.

A school doesn’t receive the “School op Seef” road safety label just like that. To earn the label, a school must meet many requirements in the areas of traffic education and road safety. The ROV Zuid-Holland assessed the Nutsschool on a number of areas: systematic approach and organization, parent involvement, traffic education, and the school environment and school-to-home routes. The Nutsschool scored very highly in all three areas. The municipality of Voorschoten is therefore extremely proud of the Nutsschool and its students, given the excellent scores they achieved in all categories.

This isn’t the first time a board member has visited the Nutsschool. The Nutsschool places a high priority on traffic safety and traffic education and addresses this issue on an ongoing basis. This is, in fact, the fourth time they have received this traffic safety certification.
