Councilman Paul de Bruijn Opens Drop-In Center for Employment, Education, and Staffing
Councilman Paul de Bruijn opened the Voorschoten drop-in center of Werkcentrum Zuid-Holland Centraal today. He did so at the library on Wijngaardenlaan. Every Tuesday afternoon, employees, job seekers, and employers can visit the center—with no obligation and without an appointment—to ask questions about work, training, and staffing.
“It’s incredibly convenient to have a single central point of contact for questions about work, education, and staffing,” says Alderman Paul de Bruijn. “Where better to set that up than at the library! Once a week, you can drop by here for a no-obligation conversation with a career counselor. For example, if you’re a young person looking to connect with employers who need motivated professionals. Or if you’re a slightly older resident looking for a school where you can retrain. Or if you’re an entrepreneur seeking information about grants. If you’re satisfied with the advice, you can get started right away. If you’d rather discuss things further, you can schedule a follow-up appointment at the central job center in Zoetermeer.”

Various partners affiliated with Werkcentrum Zuid-Holland Centraal were present at the opening of the drop-in center, ranging from the benefits agency UWV and the collaborative organization SBB to the labor unions FNV and CNV, the employers’ association VNO-NCW, the educational institution mboRijnland, and the employment agency De Binnenbaan.
Hours of Operation
