Construction Work at the Trompweg–Leidseweg Intersection

Starting Monday, March 3, the Municipality of Voorschoten will begin work on the redesign of the Trompweg–Leidseweg intersection. Work at the intersection will take place on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Friday, March 28. The 30 km/h speed limit work on Leidseweg (center) may continue in phases until Friday, April 18. Bad weather could cause delays.

Accessibility

During the redevelopment, vehicles will no longer be able to enter or exit Voorschoten via Leidseweg. Road users heading to Stevenshof or Katwijk should take the N447 (Voorschoterweg). The detour route will be indicated by traffic signs.

Cyclists and pedestrians are being rerouted right past the construction site. They can cross using temporary traffic lights.

The Fortuyn

During the construction work, residents of Fortuyn will not be able to drive to their homes via the south side (Trompweg). Griffioenlaan will be closed off on the south side. To reach the homes, residents can travel via Churchilllaan and Haagweg. A temporary access road will be set up on the north side of Griffioenlaan.
