Construction Work on Koninklijke Marinelaan, October 20–24
Emergency work will take place on Koninklijke Marinelaan between October 20 and 24. The work involves sewer renovation.
The construction work will have the following impact on traffic:
The neighborhood
- Traffic coming from Veurseweg can turn onto Koninklijke Marinelaan.
- There is one-way traffic for motor vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Out of the neighborhood
- Traffic coming from Koninklijke Marinelaan cannot turn onto Veurseweg.
- Motor vehicle traffic is being rerouted via Oranjeboomstraat.
- Cyclists are being rerouted via Bloklaan.
- Pedestrians are asked to walk on the opposite side of the street.
About the Work
The sewer is being renovated using the “relining” method. Using this modern technique, contractor GMB Leidingtechnieken is installing a new plastic pipe inside the old sewer pipe. The work is being done underground, but a section of the road must still be closed off due to the vehicles on site. However, on Voorstraat, the contractor is replacing approximately three meters of the sewer.
