Work on the roundabout is proceeding as planned
Update November 5, 2024: This week, work on the roundabout has entered the next phase. Whereas traffic was routed along the side of City Hall during Phase 1, it is now being routed along the side of Albert Heijn during Phase 2. But please note: Phase 3 will be the most challenging.
In Phase 2, little will change for cars and pedestrians. Raadhuislaan will remain closed. A different detour route will be in effect for cyclists. Detour signs will be posted to indicate this.
Complete closure in Phase 3
Phase 3 will be the most difficult for road users. During this phase, the roundabout will be completely closed, and cyclists and cars will have to take a detour. Pedestrians will, however, be able to cross freely. This phase will last as briefly as possible: from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, until 3:00 a.m. on Monday, November 11, at the latest. The parking garage at Albert Heijn will remain open, but you’ll need to take a detour to get there.
