Returning to work

There are several options available to assist you.

Education

You can receive education at a school that takes your children's school hours into account. Sometimes they even provide childcare. You can also follow the education on a part-time basis.

Financial assistance

You can apply for financial assistance for costs related to your reentry into the workforce. The amount you receive depends on your income.

Contribution towards childcare costs

You can apply for childcare allowance from the Tax and Customs Administration. The municipality can also contribute towards the costs of childcare, for example, if you have a low income.

Work

You can search for work independently. For example, through newspaper advertisements, via the UWV, temporary employment agencies, the internet, or your own network. You can also re-enter the workforce by obtaining a subsidized job or doing volunteer work.

Job coach

A job coach guides people with a physical, intellectual, or psychological disability toward or within a job if they cannot manage the work without support. Therefore, you only receive support from a job coach if it is necessary.

A job coach can support you with your tasks at fixed times over a longer period. The ultimate goal is for you to be able to work for a regular employer without supervision.
