Weekend Closure of Europaweg and Lammenschansplein from March 7 to 10
Over the next three years, the roads around the N206 Europaweg and Lammenschansplein in Leiden will be closed for a weekend on several occasions. The first weekend closure will last from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, to 6:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10.
The first weekend closure is necessary for construction work between the Hofvlietweg roundabout and the Lammebrug. Not all traffic will be affected. Lammenschansplein, the route between Voorschoten and Leiden City Center, and the bike paths will all remain open.
Detours
Road traffic will be rerouted via the A44, N434 (Corbulo Tunnel), and the A4 on- and off-ramps at Hoogmade (6) and Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk (6a). Please allow for extra travel time. If possible, choose to travel by bike or public transportation, and check the route planner before departure. In case of very bad weather, the work will be postponed by one week.
About the RijnlandRoute
The N206 Europaweg is the final subproject of the RijnlandRoute. This road will have more lanes, a higher Lammebrug bridge, and new green spaces. As a result, traffic will flow more smoothly and be more enjoyable than ever. Thanks to the temporary road and bridges, road users will be able to continue driving even while construction is underway.
