Weekend Closure, May 16–19: N206 Europaweg
During the weekend from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, to 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 19, the N206 Europaweg will be closed on the section between Hofvlietweg and Rooseveltstraat. The Trekvliet waterway will also be closed this weekend. Bike paths will be partially closed.
The bike path over the Lammebrug will remain open this weekend. The Rijn-Schiekanaal (De Vliet) will remain open to waterway traffic this weekend. The bike path over the Trekvlietbrug will be accessible again starting Sunday, May 18. In the event of (very) bad weather, the work will be postponed by one week.
The Work
The main activities being carried out include hoisting the deck of the temporary bicycle bridge over the Trekvliet, installing sheet piles, demolishing a section of the wall of the Sterrenschanstunnel (a bicycle tunnel near the Lammebrug), and placing preload (sand) along the N206 Europaweg.
Detours
Road traffic will be rerouted via the A44, N434 (Corbulo Tunnel), and the A4 on- and off-ramps at Hoogmade (6) and Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk (6a). Please allow for extra travel time. Check the route planner before departure. Cyclists will be rerouted via Churchilllaan/Rooseveltstraat, Vijf Meilaan, Zoeterwoudseweg, Lammenschansweg, and vice versa.
