Waarstaatjegemeente: Survey of Residents and Business Owners in Voorschoten
In 2020, Voorschoten participated in the national survey “waarstaatjegemeente,” an initiative of the Association of Dutch Municipalities. From September through October, a resident survey and a business owner survey were conducted among more than 500 residents and more than 200 business owners within the municipality of Voorschoten. For the first time in the Netherlands, the survey was conducted in English as well as Dutch. This allowed non-Dutch speakers to share their opinions as well. Just over 1.5% of the surveys were completed in English. The municipality is using the results as a starting point for improving its services to residents and business owners.
Public Opinion Poll
The citizen survey assesses what residents think of their municipality. It examines topics such as the residential and living environment, municipal services, the relationship between citizens and the administration, and welfare and healthcare services in Voorschoten. English Polling Results
In September and October, a national service-level survey for municipalities was conducted among more than 500 residents of Voorschoten. For the first time in the Netherlands, the survey could be completed in English. 1.5% of the respondents completed the survey in English. The results can be found in the summary document below.
