Fireworks Sales

No permits have been issued in Voorschoten for the sale of fireworks.

You may only purchase consumer fireworks that are permitted for private individuals. This includes fireworks in categories F1 and F2. Professional fireworks are prohibited for private individuals. These are fireworks in categories F3 and F4. You may not purchase these fireworks or keep them in your home.

Setting Off Fireworks

You may set off fireworks from 6:00 p.m. on December 31, 2025, until 2:00 a.m. on January 1, 2026.
You may only set off fireworks in categories F1 and F2.

Fireworks-Free Zones

In Voorschoten, the following locations (including the immediate vicinity) have been officially designated as fireworks-free zones . You may not set off fireworks in these areas from 6:00 p.m. on December 31 through 2:00 a.m. on January 1:

Want to report a fireworks disturbance?

Are you bothered by fireworks? If so, you can report it. Where you should report it depends on the situation.

Situation 1: It's happening right now, and you know where it's coming from

Call the police right away: 0900 – 8844.

If you see fireworks being set off, or if you know the location or the people involved, please let the police know so they can take immediate action.

Situation 2: The disturbance has already ended, or you don't know where it's coming from.

If so, please report it to the municipality. Your report helps us get a clear picture of areas where fireworks-related disturbances occur more frequently. The municipality cannot take immediate action based on your report, but all reports are recorded. Our special enforcement officers pay extra attention to areas where reports are frequently received. This helps us prevent disturbances in the future.
