Voorschoten Receives World Heritage Certificate
On October 8, Minister Ingrid van Engelshoven presented the World Heritage Certificate for the Lower Germanic Limes to Alderman Marcel Cramwinckel. About two thousand years ago, the northern border of the Roman Empire—the Limes—ran straight through 12 municipalities. During that time, the Romans also constructed the Corbulo Canal, traces of which have been found at various locations in Voorschoten. For more information about the Limes, visithttps://bit.ly/2YNQeZV.
