Voorschoten Can Help 197 Homeowners with a Grant for Home Insulation
This year, the municipality of Voorschoten is organizing an insulation initiative for some of its residents. 197 homeowners can have part of their home insulated. They can choose to insulate the foundation, the floor, the windows, or the interior of the roof. Because the municipality received funding from the national government for this, certain conditions apply.
The program applies to owners of owner-occupied single-family homes (usually a single-family home) with a WOZ value of less than €506,000 and that are less energy-efficient (energy label D, E, F, G, or equivalent). These owners can apply for a financial subsidy for insulation when they receive a letter from the municipality.
Which residents will be the first to receive a letter?
The first group of residents who may be eligible for an insulation program consists of homeowners who receive an energy allowance. They can apply for a financial contribution toward insulation of up to €3,000. Households that meet the eligibility requirements have already received a letter from the municipality.
In October 2024, the municipality will send letters to residents in the Centrum, Dobbewijk, and Vlietwijk neighborhoods who meet the eligibility criteria. This group can apply for a grant of up to €1,270 to install insulation. If funds from the national government remain after all applications have been processed, the municipality will send letters to homeowners in other neighborhoods of Voorschoten.
The consulting firm Duurzaam Bouwloket is implementing the program on behalf of the municipality. The firm processes applications in the order in which they are received.
