Deleting Privacy-Sensitive Personal Data
The municipality maintains personal data on all residents in the Basic Register of Persons (BRP). The municipality needs this information when, for example, you get married or when your passport expires. If necessary, the municipality may also share your information with other government agencies, such as the Tax Authority or the police, or with organizations such as pension funds and housing associations.
You may only have information about your adoption, a child you gave up for adoption, or your gender reassignment removed from the BRP.
