Explorer recommends forming a coalition with the " GroenLinks"—PvdA, VVD, and D66

Berend Potjer has completed his work as an explorer and submitted his final report to the “ municipal council ” in Voorschoten. The explorer recommends initiating substantive discussions with “ GroenLinks ”—the PvdA, VVD, and D66—to form a stable majority coalition in Voorschoten.

Two weeks after the party leaders unanimously asked Potjer to explore the possibilities for forming a stable majority coalition, Potjer is issuing his recommendation today. The explorer thanks all seven parties for the pleasant, open, and constructive discussions. The discussions led to a clear conclusion that the GroenLinks-PvdA, VVD, and D66 are now tasked with forming a stable and decisive majority coalition. He therefore advises them to begin substantive discussions in the near future to reach a coalition agreement and establish a decisive partnership.

The facilitator also noted from the discussions that the entire council needs to improve resident participation, ensure clearer and more transparent decision-making, and demonstrate greater consistency within the council and the “ executive board.” In addition, maintaining an open and constructive atmosphere within the “ municipal council ” remains an important focus.

At a special council meeting on Monday evening, April 13, at 9:00 p.m., the “ municipal council ” will discuss the final report from the fact-finding committee and decide how to proceed toward substantive discussions.
