Municipal Government Vacation Period

The municipal council’s vacation period, known as the summer recess, runs from Wednesday, July 19, through Monday, August 21. The first official meeting of the full council will take place on Tuesday, August 22.

On Tuesday, July 4, the entire City Council was present for the last time.

Meetings will continue as scheduled

Mayor Stemerdink and Councilor De Bruijn will meet on Tuesday, July 11, and Monday, July 17. They will also make decisions at those meetings.

On Tuesday, August 15, Aldermen Van der Elst and Schokker will meet. They will only make decisions on matters that cannot wait and must move forward.

Quorum

The quorum is half of the board. This means that the board can only deliberate or make decisions if at least half of its four members are present.
