Accessibility of polling stations
The Municipality of Voorschoten wants everyone who is eligible to vote to be able to do so. Therefore, the polling stations are made as accessible as possible.
You can access the polling stations with a walker, wheelchair, or stroller, as well as if you have a visual impairment, for example.
Voting with a visual impairment
Blind or partially sighted residents can make use of a voting template with a sound box. This allows you to vote completely independently while maintaining the secrecy of the ballot.
The voting template is available in 't Voorhuys of the Village Church at Kerkplein 2. Volunteers will be happy to assist you, for example by explaining how the voting template works.
The voting template is also suitable for residents with low literacy or dyslexia.

Voting in sign language
If you wish to vote in sign language, you can use a Remote Interpreter at any polling station. There is a poster with a QR code. Scan the code and immediately call a free Dutch Sign Language interpreter.

Voting with dementia or a mild intellectual disability
Residents with dementia or a mild intellectual disability are allowed to vote. Assistance inside the voting booth is not permitted, but outside of it is.
