Accessibility of Polling Places
The Municipality of Voorschoten wants to ensure that everyone who is eligible to vote is able to do so. That is why the polling places are as accessible as possible.
You can visit the polling stations with a walker, wheelchair, or stroller. This also applies if, for example, you have a visual impairment.
Voting with a visual impairment
Blind or visually impaired residents can use a voting device with a soundbox. This allows you to vote completely independently while maintaining the secrecy of your vote.
The tuning fork is available at 't Voorhuys van de Dorpskerk, located at Kerkplein 2. Volunteers are happy to assist you, for example, by explaining how the tuning fork works.
The voting system is also suitable for residents with low literacy skills or those with dyslexia.

Voting in sign language
If you would like to vote using sign language, you can use a remote interpreter at any polling place. There is a poster with a QR code posted there. Scan the code to connect directly with a free Dutch Sign Language interpreter.

Voting with dementia or a mild intellectual disability
Residents with dementia or a mild intellectual disability are eligible to vote. Assistance is not permitted inside the voting booth, but it is allowed outside of it.
