Grant for Climate Adaptation Measures

Would you like to implement climate adaptation measures for your commercial property or home? You may be eligible for a subsidy from the Municipality of Voorschoten.

What can you apply for a subsidy for?

The subsidy program applies to:

Green roofs
Swales, gravel boxes, or another type of rainwater trench
Semi-paving, such as permeable tiles

The application form for the climate adaptation subsidy is required for your application. Please print the form, fill it in, and then scan it as a digital document. Add the completed digital document as an attachment to your application.

When can you apply for a subsidy?

You can apply for a subsidy until December 31, 2026, or until the subsidy ceiling is reached. After each processing period, we will announce whether the subsidy ceiling has been reached.

Update December 2025

Following the first term, €89,900 in subsidy budget remains available. There is therefore still ample opportunity to apply for a subsidy in the upcoming terms.

Following the second term, €85,451.50 in subsidy budget remains available. There is therefore still ample opportunity to apply for a subsidy in the upcoming terms.

What are the " Requirements"?

The exact Requirements can be found in the “Voorschoten Municipality Climate Adaptation Grant Program 2025.”

The main Requirements are:

The measures for which a subsidy is requested must have been paid for and implemented after the publication date of this subsidy scheme (September 3, 2025).
The minimum subsidy per applicant is €400.
The maximum subsidy per applicant for the entire duration of the scheme is €3,000.
A maximum also applies per type of measure.
For each climate adaptation measure, a fixed standard amount per square metre applies. It is not possible to exceed this standard amount.
A total of €100,000 is available for the scheme.
Please note: removing tiles without replacing them with semi-permeable surfaces (such as soil, grass, or plants) does not entitle you to a subsidy within this category.
Please note: the work for which the subsidy is requested must be fully completed before a subsidy application can be submitted. Applications for work that has not yet been carried out are not eligible for a subsidy.

How do you apply for a subsidy?

The completed digital application form. You can download, print, fill out, and scan the form into a digital document.
The invoice for the implemented climate-adaptive measures
Your bank account number
Photos of the implemented measures
If applicable, a certificate of " authorisation " from your landlord or the homeowners' association.
