Grant for Climate Adaptation Measures

Would you like to implement climate-adaptive measures for your business premises or home? You may be eligible for a grant from the municipality of Voorschoten.

What can you apply for a grant for?

The subsidy program applies to:

Green roofs
Wadis, gravel-lined ditches, or other types of rainwater ditches
semi-paved surfaces, such as permeable pavers

The application form for the climate adaptation measures grant is part of your application. Print the form, fill it out, and then scan it as a digital document. Attach the completed digital document to your application.

When can you apply for a grant?

You can apply for a grant until December 31, 2026, or until the grant cap is reached. After each processing period, we will announce whether the grant cap has already been reached.

Update: December 2025

At the end of the first round, €89,900 of the grant budget remains available. This means there is still ample opportunity to apply for grants in the upcoming rounds.

February 2026 Update

At the end of the second installment period, €85,451.50 of the grant budget remains available. This means there is still sufficient funding to apply for grants in the upcoming installments.

What are the terms and conditions?

The exact terms and conditions can be found in the “Voorschoten Municipality Climate Adaptation Grant Program 2025.”

The most important conditions are:

The measures for which a grant is being requested must have been paid for and implemented after the publication date of this grant program (September 3, 2025).
The minimum grant per applicant is €400.
The maximum grant per applicant for the entire duration of the program is €3,000.
There is also a maximum limit for each type of measure.
A fixed standard amount per square meter applies to each climate adaptation measure. It is not possible to exceed this standard amount.
A total of €100,000 is available for the program.
Please note: If you remove tiles and replace them with a semi-paved surface (such as soil, grass, or plants), you are not eligible for a subsidy under this category.
Please note: The work for which a grant is being requested must be fully completed before a grant application can be submitted. Applications for work that has not yet been completed are not eligible for a grant.

How do you apply for a grant?

Please have the following information ready:

The completed digital application form. You can download the form, print it out, fill it out, and scan it to create a digital document.
The invoice for the climate adaptation measures that were implemented
Your bank account number
Photos of the measures that were implemented
If necessary, proof of permission from your landlord or the homeowners' association.
