Submit your green project for the Steenbreek Trophy

The Steenbreek Trophy jury is once again looking for innovative projects that contribute to making our living environment greener. Through this competition, the Steenbreek Foundation is calling on people to share creative solutions, help them grow, and thereby inspire others. Submit your project for the 2023 competition—signing up is easy.

Throughout the Netherlands, there are all kinds of inspiring initiatives in which various parties are setting a good example. “With creative solutions, we can make a positive contribution to biodiversity, health, and climate adaptation. The social sector plays an important role in this, because it is precisely by working together that we can ensure a green, climate-resilient, and healthy living environment!” says Roel van Dijk, director of the Steenbreek Foundation.

Who can participate?

Initiatives at the street or neighborhood level, as well as at the village or city level, are welcome. These can come from a municipality itself, but also from a neighborhood association, community organization, housing authority, business owner, or resident. The size of the project or initiative is not a factor in participating in this competition, but it must already be in the implementation phase and no longer in the “planning phase.” Are you ready to compete with your initiative to win this year’s Steenbreektrofee? Deadline: May 20

Entries must be submitted by May 20 at the latest. In June, the jury will meet to evaluate the entries, and in September, the winners will be announced and the Steenbreek Trophy will be awarded. Awards Ceremony

As the winner of the competition, you will be presented with the magnificent Steenbreek Trophy and receive a comprehensive advisory report from the expert jury. This report will include a personalized evaluation and tips on how to make your project more future-proof. In addition, your project will receive significant media coverage, including an in-depth article in the Steenbreek special edition of Vakblad Groen.
