Voter Registration Card for Elections

To vote, you'll need a voting card. You'll receive your voting card by mail during the week of February 16 through 21.

If you haven't received your voting card by February 23, or if you've lost it, please request a new one.

Apply Online

You can also request a replacement voter registration card online. To do so, log in with your DigiD and fill out the form: Request a Replacement Voter Registration Card Online.

Apply at City Hall

Would you prefer to apply for a new voter registration card at City Hall? You can do so until Tuesday, March 17, at 12:00 p.m. You do not need to make an appointment.

Please bring a valid form of identification.

Are you moving?

You will receive your voter registration card at the address where you are registered as of February 2. If you move to another municipality after that date, you will only be able to vote at your old place of residence using your voter registration card.

Terms and Conditions

You will receive a voter registration card if you meet the requirements to vote:

  • You will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day (March 18, 2026).
  • As of February 2, 2026, you are registered with the municipality of Voorschoten.
  • You are a Dutch citizen, a citizen of another European Union country, or hold a valid residence permit, and you have been residing legally in the Netherlands for at least 5 years.
  • You are not barred from voting.

It is best to submit your application well before March 13. That way, you’ll have a better chance of receiving your new voter registration card in the mail on time.
