Consultation Hours for Owners of Historic Homes

Do you live in a historic building? And do you know what’s involved in restoration, maintenance, or renovation? Or would you like to learn more about how to make your home more sustainable? If so, come to one of the municipal consultation hours at Museum Voorschoten.

On Wednesday, July 2, and Saturday, July 5, the Municipality of Voorschoten is organizing an extensive consultation session specifically for owners of historic homes. Owners are warmly welcome at Museum Voorschoten to ask questions about their historic property. A heritage advisor from the municipality will be on hand to provide information to those interested. 

The principal's residence, built between 1931 and 1933, for the Reformed elementary school on Wijngaardenlaan, now the public library. The residence was designed by architect J.W. Reyneveld and is designated as a municipal historic landmark.

A lot of interest

In recent years, owners of historic buildings have been turning to the municipality in increasing numbers. Most inquiries concern making their homes more sustainable. Through these consultation hours, the municipality aims to provide accessible assistance by explaining requirements for permits, restoration, renovation, and sustainability measures.

Office Hours

The consultation hours will take place on Wednesday, July 2, and Saturday, July 5, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. You are welcome to visit Museum Voorschoten at Voorstraat 17. No advance registration is required.
