Tree Trimming on Horstlaan
There are dead trees on Horstlaan that could pose a safety hazard in the near future. On behalf of the municipality of Voorschoten, Buitenhuis Boskoop B.V. will remove these trees. Afterward, Buitenhuis Boskoop will prune the trees as part of routine maintenance. They will also plant new trees and prune coppice.

Everyone wants to live in a healthy and safe environment. Trees contribute to a healthy environment, but they can also pose safety risks, such as falling branches or trees toppling over during a storm.
Maintenance Pruning
Maintenance pruning is necessary to maintain a minimum clearance height and to remove dead wood or problematic branches. From an ecological standpoint, two linden trees were chosen for the new planting because these trees attract bees. Coppice should be rejuvenated once every five years to maintain an open structure and allow space for herbaceous vegetation. Pruning the coppice is also necessary to enable maintenance work on the adjacent ditches.
March 4 through 6
To ensure that the above work can be carried out safely, Horstlaan will be closed on Monday, March 4, Tuesday, March 5, and Wednesday, March 6, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We appreciate your understanding and will do our best to minimize any inconvenience to you.
