Damage to municipal property

Every year, the municipality is faced with various instances of damage. These may be cases of accidental damage where the person responsible comes forward, but unfortunately, damage is also sometimes intentionally caused to municipal property. Aside from the fact that this is a criminal offense, it also results in additional costs for the municipality and its residents.

The damage includes, among other things: light poles; playground equipment; street furniture; green spaces and playground facilities; and contaminated road surfaces.

Damage to municipal buildings; broken windows and vandalism in (school) buildings.
