Damage to municipal property

Each year, the municipality deals with various instances of damage. These may be accidental, where the person responsible comes forward, but unfortunately, municipal property is also intentionally damaged. Aside from the fact that this is a criminal offence, it also incurs additional costs for the municipality and its residents.

This includes damage to: Light poles; Playground equipment; Street furniture; Green areas and playground facilities; Contaminated road surfaces.

Vandalism of municipal buildings; Broken glass and vandalism in (school) buildings.
