Request a Sewer Connection
The municipality is responsible for connecting private property to the public sewer system. If your home or business is not connected to the sewer system, you must apply to the municipality for a connection.
- The municipality will provide the connection up to the boundary of your property.
- You are responsible for installing the sewer system on your own property.
How does it work?
In the municipality, a green PVC pipe is used for the HWA clean water connection.
And for the DWA wastewater, a gray PVC pipe was used.
The standard diameter offered is approximately 125 mm.
The installation depth is determined by the municipality. It depends, in part, on the elevation of the main gas and water lines.
Each applicant (owner) must install a drain cleaning access point in the pipe on their own property, immediately behind the property line.
There are two types of connections:
- combined systems
- separate systems
You need a separate system if you want a connection for the separate drainage of wastewater and rainwater.

Please include the following:
- how many connections are involved
- the type of sewer connection (separate or combined)

- A scenario description.
- A statement regarding the nature of the system (separate or combined).
How long does it take?
After submitting an application for a sewer connection, you will receive a quote from the municipality as soon as possible.
Once payment of the amount stated in this quote has been received, we will schedule an appointment with you to discuss the date of service.
As a general rule, this takes one to two weeks after the payment has been made.
