Schemes for people with a low income
What is it?
If you have a low income, making ends meet can be difficult. The municipality can then help you with a contribution or allowance for things such as:
- a refrigerator or washing machine
- transportation costs
- sports or other activities for your child(ren)
You can contact the Employment and Income department of the Municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg for this purpose via 14070 option 2.
What to do?
- You must submit a request to the municipality.
- You can also inquire about the possibilities for a collective health insurance policy, municipal tax exemption, or individual income supplement.

What do I need?
Please include copies of the following with your request:
- a recent payslip
- the most recent statement of your bank and savings accounts
- proof of ownership, such as the policy schedule of your annuity, proof of ownership of your home, and vehicle registration certificate
How long does it take?
You will receive notification from the municipality within 8 weeks regarding whether you will receive an allowance and the amount.
File an objection
If you disagree with the municipality's decision, you can submit an objection within 6 weeks.
