Programs for People with Low Incomes
What is it?
If you have a low income, it can be difficult to make ends meet. In that case, the municipality can help you with a subsidy or reimbursement for, for example:
- a refrigerator or washing machine
- shipping costs
- sports or other activities for your child(ren)
To do so, please contact the Work and Income Department of the Municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg by calling 14070 and selecting option 2.
What should I do?
- You must submit a request to the municipality.
- Be sure to ask about the options for group health insurance, municipal tax exemptions, or individual income supplements.

What do I need?
Please include copies of the following with your request:
- a recent pay stub
- the most recent statements for your checking and savings accounts
- proof of ownership, such as your annuity policy statement, proof of ownership of your home, and your car registration certificate
How long does it take?
You will receive a response from the municipality within 8 weeks regarding whether you will receive compensation and, if so, the amount.
File an objection
If you disagree with the municipality's decision, you may file an objection within 6 weeks.
