Re-integratie

If you are unable to find a job on your own, the municipality will work with you to develop a re-entry program. The goal is to help you return to work with an employer as soon as possible. This program is for residents of the municipality of Voorschoten who are receiving a disability benefit ( Social assistance benefit), a survivor’s benefit, are not receiving any benefits, and are unemployed. The reintegration plan can be structured in various ways and follow different pathways. You can read more about this below.

  • Trial placement. With a trial placement, you work on a trial basis with an employer for a few months, while retaining your benefits.
  • Training. Through training, you take a short-term course to reduce the distance to a paid job. Training is also offered to single parents.
  • Orientation placement. An orientation placement arranges reintegration for a short period in an unpaid labour position.
  • Personal reintegration budget. If you receive a benefit and have a good idea of your own to find work, but need funding for it, a personal reintegration budget may be a solution.

Reintegration for people without a benefit

All residents of the municipality of Voorschoten who are looking for work can receive assistance from the municipality. This applies even if you do not receive a benefit or currently have a job. We call this reintegration.

You can apply for support at the UWV Werkbedrijf. If the WERKbedrijf believes that you can easily be helped into paid labour, you will be assigned a consultant from the WERKbedrijf to assist you further.

If the consultant from the UWV WERKbedrijf believes that you need help finding paid labour, they will refer you to the municipality. The following steps will then be taken:

  • A municipal consultant will invite you for an intake interview.
  • Together with the consultant, you will draw up a plan. This plan describes how you can return to work quickly. Naturally, we take your personal situation into account.
  • It is possible that the municipal consultant will support you throughout the process. However, another company or institution may also help you find paid labour.
  • You will be assigned a dedicated municipal consultant. If another institution assists you, you may also have a designated contact person there.

Counterperformance

If you receive a benefit, the municipality may ask you to give something back to society. This is known as a counterperformance. This could involve activities at a neighbourhood centre, nursing home, sports club, or school.

Collaboration

Together with the volunteer centre VIVE Vrijwilligerspunt from Stichting Welzijn oud en jong (Woej), we will determine what type of activity suits you best.

What type of work and how many hours?

A counterperformance involves an unpaid social activity that must be beneficial to society. The activity is tailored to your capabilities, ranging from 2 to 8 hours per week for one year, with the possibility of extension.

Not voluntary

The Participation Act stipulates that the municipality may ask this of you. It is not voluntary. Failing to cooperate may affect your benefit.
