41-47 Raadhuislaan

A new health center and 44 housing units will be built at Raadhuislaan 41-47. There is a great need for housing and for future-proof accommodations for general practitioners and other healthcare providers. The health center will house various healthcare providers and a pharmacy. Of the 44 housing units, 25% will be social housing and 10% will be mid-range rental units. 

The project initiator, Niersman Projectontwikkeling B.V., conducted a design study in consultation with the municipality to explore the integration of a health center and apartments. Local residents were also involved in this process. On September 26, 2024, the city council adopted the Implementation Framework for the project. Among other things, it specifies the building’s permitted size and height, parking arrangements, and guidelines for green spaces. The developer is now further refining the design. 

Current Status

The Implementation Framework was adopted by the city council on September 26, 2024. In December 2024, the preliminary agreement with the municipality was signed. Work is currently underway to further develop the design. To that end, the necessary studies are also being conducted. The permitting process is expected to begin in Q3 2025, and if all goes well, construction can begin in 2026.

Participation

The Municipality of Voorschoten would like to hear from stakeholders about what they consider important for the site. During the design study, three community meetings were held to gather input from local residents. This input has been incorporated into the design to the greatest extent possible.
