Procedure for the Sale of the Ambachts- and Baljuwhuis

On November 12, 2020, the city council approved the recommendation of the Voorschoten Municipal Executive to sell the property at Voorstraat 12 (Ambachts- en Baljuwhuis) through a public bidding process, subject to a number of conditions. The Municipal Executive will make a decision on the sale on September 7, subject to any requests or concerns raised by the City Council.

The council has taken note of reports that appeared in the media over the past week. In those reports, the potential buyer has already been identified. The council has not yet made an official decision regarding the sale.

Final decision

After the city council has expressed its wishes and concerns, the city executive will make a final decision on the proposed sale. The purchase agreement will then be signed. The legal transfer of ownership of the commercial property is scheduled for around November 1, 2021.
