Parking of Large Vehicles
It is prohibited to park vehicles longer than 6 meters or taller than 2.4 meters. This includes, for example, buses and trucks.
There are a number of locations throughout Voorschoten where trucks are permitted to park. The designated locations are marked with signs indicating that vehicles must be longer than 6.00 meters and/or taller than 2.40 meters.
The ban does not apply to RVs, camper vans, trailers, and camper trucks. However, these vehicles may not be parked or kept on the road for more than three consecutive days.
The following locations definitely have parking spaces for trucks and buses:
- Mayor van de Haarplein: Eight spaces have been designated here for trucks and buses. These are eight spaces, each approximately 12 meters long. If a tractor-trailer wants to park here, it will need two parking spaces.
- Van Beethovenlaan: a parallel parking lane approximately 90 meters long near the sports fields.
- Trompweg: near Leidseweg, a parallel parking space approximately 20 meters long
There are no public truck parking spaces in the Dobbewijk neighborhood or Rouwkooppark.
