Parking of Large Vehicles

It is prohibited to park vehicles longer than 6 metre or taller than 2.4 metre . This includes, for example, buses and trucks.

There are a number of locations throughout Voorschoten where trucks are permitted to park. The reserved locations are marked with signs indicating that vehicles must be longer than 6.00 metre and/or taller than 2.40 metre .

The ban does not apply to RVs, camper vans, trailers, and camper trucks. However, these vehicles may not be parked or kept on the road for more than three consecutive days.

Parking spaces for trucks and buses are available at least at the following locations:

  • Mayor van de Haarplein: Eight parking spaces have been designated here for trucks and buses. These are eight spaces, each approximately 12 metre. If a tractor-trailer wants to park here, it will need two parking spaces.
  • Van Beethovenlaan: near the sports fields, a parallel parking lot with approximately 90 metre.
  • Trompweg: near Leidseweg, a parallel parking zone approximately 20 metre

There are no public truck parking spaces available in the Dobbewijk and Rouwkooppark areas.
