Parking Study in the Municipality of Voorschoten

The municipality of Voorschoten is set to conduct a Map s of the parking situation throughout the village. The research firm Trajan is carrying out this work. The counts will be conducted by a mobile scanning vehicle and field workers on foot. This scanning vehicle focuses on recording vehicle counts and will therefore not collect any privacy-sensitive data. The field workers can be recognized by their red vests with “traffic survey” printed on the back.

The survey will take place on Thursday, November 10, in the afternoon and that evening. A count will be conducted on Saturday, November 12, in the afternoon. The municipality will use the data collected to, among other things, assess parking demand in the vicinity of future construction projects, address residents’ complaints about parking, and expand the number of accessible parking spaces and charging station locations.
