"Pearl of Voorschoten" Award for Maud Robberegt and Rinze Bulstra

This afternoon, Mayor Nadine Stemerdink presented the “Pearl of Voorschoten” award to Ms. Maud Robberegt-van der Sluijs and Mr. Rinze Bulstra. They received the award for their many years of volunteer service to the Voorschoten Golf Club.

The award ceremony took place during the festive closing celebration of the golf season at Het Wedde restaurant, located at 85 Richard Wagnerlaan.

Maud Robberegt

Ms. Robberegt has been volunteering for the Voorschoten Golf Club since 2003. She began as treasurer of the Rules & Handicap Committee, was involved in the golf rules exams, and served as secretary of the golf club’s board. She was also one of the organizers of the Youth Sports Camps in collaboration with Voorschoten4kids. She currently serves as chair of the Rules & Handicap Committee, chair of the Youth Committee, a coach for youth members, and is involved in the “Introduction to Golf” lessons and the rules of the game days. During the general membership meeting on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, Ms. Robberegt was named an honorary member of the Voorschoten Golf Club.

Rinze Bulstra

Mr. Bulstra was also named an honorary member of the Voorschoten Golf Club on April 4, 2023. Previously, in 2015, he was named a member of merit upon stepping down as the club’s president. He has now been active as a volunteer for the club for nearly 25 years. Mr. Bulstra began as a member and chair of the Tournament Committee, served as captain of the VGC/NGF Team 2, and was a course marshal. He is currently a member of the Youth Committee, the Rules & Handicap Committee, and the Course Committee, and is involved in the technical aspects of the “Voorschoten Open,” as well as the marshal duty roster and the reservation system.

About the Voorschoten Golf Club

The Voorschoten Golf Club has more than 300 members and organizes many activities throughout the year, ranging from events for beginners to the club championships. The club’s many volunteers ensure that all these activities run smoothly.
